You have to be careful what you pray for! Some things you ask of God and He answers with a flood! Other things He answers with a trickle or a drop and you can never tell what will be what. I began praying that God would give me things to write about for the blog and now before I have finished the last entry, I have a new one spilling out. And even as I am editing this one, yet another is forming in my mind!
A friend was sharing a conversation with me. In the conversation she had poised the question, "If you could get an "A" without attending class, would you go?" God took those words and He really challenged me. I knew the answer for me was no. Although I love to learn, if I could get the A without putting in any effort- I'd be lazy and not show up to class. Of course I would intend to drop in just so I could learn something- but at the end of the semester every intention would have resulted in an excuse of why I didn't make it.
These last 7 weeks have been very transformational for me. I have been in class, The School of Christ as my spiritual mom calls it. Lesson after lesson, discipline, surprise, and challenge just rolling one after the other. When I look back over the last 7 weeks, the Martha side of me says man I could have changed/grown even more if I hadn't been throwing a tantrum for at least 1/3 of the time! But God redeems the time. I also know that if learning the lessons wasn't instrumental to my progression in God- I wouldn't have even shown up to class. Luckily every lesson seemed to block my path in an impassable way.
Below is the syllabus of the last 7 weeks of class. Of course feel free to ask about any lesson. All teachers know that a student demonstrates true mastery when they can successfully teach another!
