Burundi? What about Zambia? No India. Wait, aren't you a teacher? An emissary?
It's been over a year since I have been inspired to write. Thank you One Who Serves who reminded me that I have a blog. Is that perhaps a sign, the fact that I had even forgotten that I had this thing...
"What am I doing with my passions?" It's a question that I ask myself, and too often than not the answer is nothing... I seem to have contracted tunnel vision. If one passion is coming alive, then the others are untouched coals - but then it hits.
Out of nowhere tears well up as if I've been struck and I can't ignore what's there, even if it's only a tiny ember. I hadn't forgotten, but I haven't been diligent either. Burundi, Zambia, India, Sudan, teaching, character education, sex trafficking, foster children, street kids, orphans- They are all connected by by this thread
"Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy." Psalm 82:3
I want to, need to do more, be more, pray more- but the needle on this thread is"Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless.
Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.
18
You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed,
so mere people can no longer terrify them." Psalm 10:17-18
I need to listen to you Lord, because it is you who works, and I am only a tool.
Sounded like his voice.
